Breaking the cycle

After years of living paycheck to paycheck, from weekend to weekend, I finally realise something.

Every time Monday rolls around, I’ll be wishing for the weekend to come quick so I can “finally work on what matters to me”. And when the weekend is here, I either procrastinate, or avoid doing the work, thinking I can always do it on the evenings during the week. So guess what, when Monday comes around again, the vicious cycle repeats itself.

Evidently, I’ve been living life all wrong.

What if I approached it in a different way? Instead of constantly wishing it’s the weekend, what if I first envisioned what exactly this “meaningful work” is that I plan to do over the weekend, and then breaking it down into smaller chunks which I can sustainably work on during weekday evenings.

All contributing towards the ideal future I want.

Instead of forever waiting for the weekend to finally start building my ideal life, I can actually live my ideal life now.
